Note: I have added all the shows I will most likely be attending. Before shows, I will update this page and list what stock I have spare/will be bringing, in case anyone wishes to have some. Mice are priced at £5 each, trios are £10. After Sowood (May 12th), more shows will be appearing, as the agricultural show dates have yet to be announced. I will be attending the majority of these including; Poynton, Bingley, Halifax & Honley.

After not attending a show since Harrogate due to education commitments, it was brilliant to be back on the bench, even if it was only with two mice. Unfortunately, my two varieties had not bred youngsters in time for the bench so it was down to my two bucks. The red sadly didn't place, and due to the lack of competition due to David Bumford being unable to attend and Yankee Doodle stud not entering any Variegated, my buck won his class as default. Both bucks were also entered for the stud buck, but received nothing, as they were a little too feminine. I was able to pick up another red doe from the lovely Anne Tomkins, as well as partaking in many fabulous chats and catch ups, while also congratulating Audrey Parkinson on her up and coming 70th birthday. I also managed to win a book on 'The Labrador Retriever' in the raffle.
29th of January, 2012 - Bradford Championship (Harrogate)

26th of November, 2011 - Sowood

Unfortunately, I was unable to show at Manchester. However, I did attend and was stewarding under Phil Hall for the whole day. I managed to successfully (even if a little slowly) aid in stewarding the challenges and Best in Show, which I have never done before.
Stewarding is an excellent way to learn everything you can about a good show mouse, especially if you're offered the chance to aid the judge who is overlooking the variety you're breeding. You're also allowed to enter the same breathing space as some of the best breeders in the National Mouse Club, which is a great honour. Should you ever be offered the opportunity to steward, do it.
This show took place before my birthday, so I wish to give a big thank you to Katy Evans (Gingerbred Stud), George Stainforth (Portland Stud) & Kimberley Dill (The Village Mousery) for the cakes, cards and presents.
